Although I've lived in Ottawa all my life I feel a strong connection with my cultural heritage from India, which is as much a part of me as my Canadian roots. Much of my work deals with issues of identity and multiplicity of self, exploring the diversity I find in my background and the people around me. My work is also often influenced by my immediate environment and its connections to a more global environment. I'm always interested in exploring how things such as tradition and modernity or nature and technology fit together and relate to each other, through photography, paint, and installations.
